To open a utility account you must visit City Hall to fill out the required paperwork and pay the deposit. Residential deposits are $200.00 and commercial deposits are $250.00. The residential water, sewer, and waste collection rates beginning in December 2011 are as follows:

Call (352) 481-2432 to make a payment with your credit card over the phone. The City of Hawthorne cannot accept debit payments over the phone, but can accept them in person.
WastePro does not provide garbage cans; customers must purchase their own can. Recycling bins are available from City Hall upon request. Recycling and garbage are collected every Friday morning. Recyclable items include paper, plastic bottles and jugs, aluminum cans, and glass bottles and jars.
