D. ~COMMITTEE REPORTS/PRESENTATIONS/PROCLAMATIONS
1.  Angela Wright Citizen of the Month
The City Commission recognized Ms. Wright as Citizen of the Month for June.  Ms. Wright is a staff member at HMHS and was awarded the Alachua County support staff of the year.  
Ms. Wright explained some of the duties she performs at HMHS and thanked the City Commission for the recognition.

E. ~CITIZEN COMMENTS
1.  Pastor Rose- Suggest the City of Hawthorne look into changing the off-site sign regulations so Church’s and businesses can advertise their location.

2.  Resolution- SUNTRAIL Priority List and Resolution of Support
Mr. Chris Dawson, Sr., Alachua County Transportation Planner gave a presentation from Alachua County Staff regarding the SUNTrail Program and the proposed ranking of projects to be submitted by the Board of County Commissioners
Moved to approve the resolution of support for the county SUNTrail application and support for US 301 grade separated crossing

3.  Planned Unit Development (PUD) Section 4.17 Amendments-Staff Report
City Manager Vause explained this item will go before the P&Z Board and wanted to give the information to the City Commission for their review.
The City Commission decided to wait on the P&Z Board suggestions.

3.  2015 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report
City Manager Ellen Vause- each year the City is required to submit the Annual Drinking Water Quality Report/ Consumer Confidence Report (CCR)

1. City Manager Vause gave her City Manager’s report
2. City Attorney Hoehn reminded the City Commission to submit their Form 1 to the Supervisor of Elections
3. City Commission
Commissioner Roberts-Cheatham- Thank you for all the donations for the final senior’s picnic.  Exercise class at the fitness center on Thursdays at 10AM.
Commissioner Floyd ask for an update on the downtown water lines through the CDBG.  City Manager Vause gave an update.
Commissioner Bouie ask for the opening date for the Love’s Travel Center. City Manager Vause said it should be open the 1st week in August.
Vice Mayor Howard- Melrose Community Homecoming is this coming weekend and everyone is invited.  FREE FOOD.
4. Mayor Surrency- McDonald’s and Love’s are now hiring.  Hawthorne Homecoming is this month.
